Roach Rudi

The attack occurred at approximately 02:00 when an armed gang forced their way into the house to execute a violent robbery. Rudi Roach confronted the intruders to protect his family. During the violent altercation, he was shot dead by the attackers. The attackers additionally turned their firearms on his teenage son, who survived after being shot three times in the back, leaving him hospitalized in critical condition. Despite the high level of violence, the criminals fled the scene carrying away minimal loot, which consisted only of a cellphone and a couple of beers. His widow, Veronica Roach, later expressed to regional community networks that the primary intent of the heavily armed gang appeared to be targeted violence rather than a routine property burglary.
