Naude Leon

27 July 2006 · Steinsvlei holdings, Muldersdrif · Gauteng · Shot
During the incident, Leon Naudé was being dropped off at his home by a colleague. As he got out of the vehicle to open the property's main entrance gate, a group of armed attackers ambushed him. The perpetrators opened fire on him at point-blank range, and he was shot five times in the face and upper body. He collapsed at the scene and died holding his son's hand as his family witnessed the immediate aftermath of the shooting. Following the execution, the suspects stole his vehicle—a metallic green Volvo—and fled the scene, later abandoning the car a few kilometers away from the smallholding.
