Kirstein Johannes Hendrik (Henry)

A group of between five and seven armed mans threatened and attacked two security guards patrolling the property. One guard was struck over the head and tied up, while the other was taken hostage to the main house. The attackers then entered the house and shot Henry Kirstein in the chest, and he died at the scene in front of his wife, Eva. The robbers tied up Eva Kirstein and threatened her to disclose the location of the safe and firearms, while also demanding to know where her son was. The men fled the scene with firearms, roughly R800,000 in cash, and an unconfirmed amount of US dollars. Following the attack, the Boschkop police opened a murder and robbery case file to search for the suspects.
