Res Magrieta Petronella

She and her husband, Bruno Res, were at Matlopi Game Farm when they welcomed a female friend. Two armed attackers overpowered the three people and demanded the keys to the safe. Magrieta was fatally shot, while Bruno was shot and wounded. The two victims and their visitor were then locked inside a walk-in safe. They were discovered the next day when other visitors arrived for an appointment and heard their cries for help. The visitor was not injured. The later police account specifies that Magrieta was shot in the head, while Bruno was shot in the arm. Five firearms, including hunting rifles, a shotgun and a 9mm pistol, were reported stolen from the safe. Police believed there were four attackers based on tracks found at the scene. By 28 September 2015, four suspects had been arrested. Two were employees on the farm — the domestic worker and her husband — while two others were arrested in Diepkloof, Soweto. On 30 September, the four appeared in the Thabazimbi Magistrate's Court on charges of murder and robbery. They were identified as Rebecca Monyeki (38), Silas Ndlovu (44), Dickson Moyo (31) and Amos Munyau (26). Their cases were postponed to 8 October for further investigation and they were denied bail. Police were still searching for five other suspects.
