Labuschagne Petrus Jacobus "Lappies"

Labuschagné's daughter later recalled that his dogs had apparently been poisoned shortly before the murder. Poisoned cooked sausage was found on the property, and the family suspected that someone with knowledge of the premises may have been involved. Three men entered the shop. He was shot from behind and died at the scene. The attackers took a small amount of money and fled. Three men were later arrested and convicted for the murder.
