Age 19. The tragedy transpired while the teenager was working on the property as a farm manager for the land owner, Mr. Van Wyk. Armed attackers breached the agricultural property and confronted the youth inside the farm shed, where they shot him directly in the throat, inflicting a catastrophic and fatal wound. During the course of the invasion, the perpetrators also abducted one of the local farmworkers.
