Odendaal Jacobus "Japie"

"This double murder took place less than a year after the murder of their son, Willem (September 1989), and virtually wiped out the entire Odendaal family.Jacobus (Japie) and Dorothea (Dolly) Odendaal were beaten to death with a blunt object on 21 July 1990. The attackers ambushed the elderly couple in their farmhouse in the Hella Hella area (Richmond). The extreme violence with which the attack was carried out deeply shocked the community at the time, especially since the family was still mourning their son, Willem, who had been murdered in the same manner in an attack on the family property just ten months prior (September 1989)."
