Cloete Gerhardus Hermie

Gerhardus Hermie Cloete, aged 47, was a farmer in the Brits/Jericho area of North West. On 27 August 2009, after having been reported missing, his body was found in the veld near the Dikhololo Wildlife Reserve, approximately 4 km from where his vehicle had been found. His hands and feet had been tied with shoelaces, and his body had been set alight. His vehicle had been abandoned about 10 km outside Jericho, with the rear window smashed and blood found on the back seat. The attackers had also removed the front and rear bumpers from his vehicle and placed them beside his body.
