shot and killed alongside his companion on 17 February 2003 during a violent invasion at a smallholding property in Hoedspruit, located in the Limpopo province. The tragedy transpired during the night when the victims were sleeping in the same bed. The case proceeded to formal trial in the Phalaborwa circuit of the Pretoria High Court. In May 2005, the court convicted Peter Ndlovu on all counts and sentenced him to two life imprisonment terms for the double murder, alongside additional concurrent terms of twelve years for burglary, fifteen years for robbery, ten years for theft, and four years for the unlawful possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
