Du Toit Christa

Age 53. That morning, Christa was at home with her friend Mickey Coetzee and domestic worker Maurine Mambo after her fiancé, André du Plessis, had left for work. Her two gardeners had not arrived as usual. At about 08:30, one of the gardeners attacked Christa inside the house. She was shot once in the head and died at the scene. The attacker then forced Mickey and Maurine to move through the house before fleeing. Police identified the gardener as 19-year-old Nyasha Mabure and launched a search for him. Nothing was reported stolen from the property.
