During the violent intrusion at their homestead, the perpetrators completely overpowered the elderly couple inside the residence. Both Willem Christiaan and Albie were subjected to blunt-force trauma and were beaten to death by the attackers. Their bodies were subsequently discovered inside the farmhouse after local community members noticed a lack of activity on the property and went to investigate.
