Dlali David Mtheteleli

Age 51. Regarding how he died and the details of what happened, he was ambushed on his farm and shot at close range in the back of the head with an AK-47 rifle. After executing the fatal shooting, the perpetrator loaded his body into the cargo bin of Dlali's own bakkie, drove the vehicle into a nearby area, and hid it behind some bushes, leaving him to die. His bloodied body was discovered by neighbors the following morning, approximately 15 minutes before sunrise. In terms of additional information including arrests and convictions, the police investigation disproved initial community suspicions of outside stock thieves or political assassination. Within three days, law enforcement arrested two farm employees: 20-year-old shepherd Matselandile Mehlomakhulu and 22-year-old farm manager Simthembile Jakalashe, who was subsequently revealed to be Dlali's unacknowledged biological son. The investigation confirmed that Jakalashe used his father's own legacy weapon from his former liberation operative days to commit the murder. The case went to trial, and in March 2014, Judge Kruger at the High Court found Simthembile Jakalashe guilty of premeditated murder, concluding that he had concocted a false alibi after shooting his father in order to rob him. The court handed down a life imprisonment sentence to Jakalashe for the crime.
