Age 71. August 19, 2000, shortly after she arrived back at her homestead. Attackers overpowered her, and her hands and feet were securely bound before she was suffocated to death. On September 6, 2000, police investigators arrested two women, identified as Maria Makwela and dynamic family relative or worker Martha Mnguni, who were held by authorities in connection with the murder.
