Potgieter Koos

Age 50. The murder of fifty-year-old former parrot breeder Koos Potgieter took place on July 29, 2004, on his farm located in the Modimolle area of the Limpopo province.His wife discovered his body on a Friday afternoon behind a farm shed after he had been reported missing the previous day. Police investigations determined that the attackers used a spade during the assault. The victim had been restrained at the scene with nylon cords and heavy objects.Forensic evidence confirmed that the cause of death was strangulation. At the time of the incident, local authorities noted that Potgieter was out on bail pending a court appearance scheduled for late August.
