De Villiers Martin Ettienne

Age 66. He was attacked by 2 perpetrators. They broke the door of his house open and assaulted him, while looking for money. He was later tied up and taken to the plantation near the house. There he was further tortured and hit with sticks. The attackers then returned to the house to look for money. When they couldn't find any, they came back to Martin and bashed his head in with two rocks. They were later spotted in Martin's red Ford Telstar and caught. Martin's body was only found 12 days later in a dry water canal by the plantation. One of the men were found guilty of murder and the other fled the country. Souce : Treurgrond (Afr) case 2881
