Walsch Ruth

Age 63. The victim is, Ruth Walsh, a 63-year-old female who was murdered nearly five years after her husband on the same farm on 2 August 2005. She had continued living alone on the Hekpoort holding following her husband's death. Attackers breached her home and beat her to death with a pick handle. Five years prior, Martin Joseph Walsh, a 77-year-old male was murdered on 12 December 2000. He was returning to his home at Farm Ingwelala, situated on Steynshoop in Hekpoort, when attackers ambushed him at his farm gate. The attackers blocked his path by placing a large rock in the road, overpowered him when he stopped, tied him up, and stabbed him to death.
