Uitenweerde Thinus

Age 55. Regarding how he died and what happened, two teenage intruders ambushed the household. The attackers gained entry, overpowered Thinus Uitenweerde, securely bound his hands and feet, forced him into a shallow grave in the farmyard, and brutally killed him by throwing large stones and rocks onto him. The intruders then turned on the farmhouse where they bound and severely assaulted his wheelchair-bound wife, Margriet, and repeatedly raped his 85-year-old mother, Isabel "Bella" Uitenweerde. The perpetrators ransacked the premises, stole household valuables and cellular phones, and left the two women bound inside the house. The crime was discovered nearly 20 hours later when the couple's son called the family home, a stranger answered the telephone, and the son immediately alerted the police. Responding officers found the women alive and located the farmer's body after the family dog began sniffing around the disturbed soil in the yard. In terms of additional info including arrests and convictions, local law enforcement tracked down and arrested the two suspects, aged 16 and 17, within 24 hours of the discovery in the nearby Petsana township after they were found in possession of the family's stolen goods.
