Age 57. The attack unfolded when intruders breached her house, where she lived alone. The perpetrators bound her hands and feet behind her back, severely assaulted and tortured her, and then set her bedroom alight while she was inside. The Free State police discovered her body in the burned bedroom after local residents noticed the open front door and severe burn marks around one of the windows. An autopsy and scene evaluation later confirmed she sustained severe head and body trauma before the bedroom was set on fire.
