The bodies of the mother and father were found lying positioned right next to each other inside one room of the house, two children were located within the same room, and the oldest son was discovered lying on the floor of a separate room. The gruesome scene was first discovered on Saturday morning by a local traditional healer who had a pre-arranged business appointment with the family. Upon finding the farmhouse door unlocked, he knocked, received no answer, and eventually pushed the door open to see a victim's hand visible from the living room, prompting him to alert the neighbors and the police.Regarding suspects, arrests, and convictions, the South African Police Service Provincial Organised Crime Unit launched an immediate manhunt following the discovery of the bodies.
