Botha Levyno

Age 64. His wife, Amelia Botha, aged 64, was also present and was attacked but survived. Five armed attackers entered the property at about 01:00 after breaking through a window and burglar bars. Levyno was overpowered on his bed. Amelia was in another bedroom and went to investigate after hearing the disturbance. One attacker confronted her before fleeing through the kitchen. Amelia called to her son, who lived on the property, for assistance. When he entered the house, the attackers fired at Levyno, but initially missed. The attackers searched the house and gathered property to steal, but ultimately escaped with only a cellphone and wallet. One attacker who was already outside then fired through the broken window, striking Levyno in the back and killing him.
