Smit Nontwasefani Loti "Sesi"

Nontwasefani Loti "Sesi" Smit, 54 years old lived on the farm with her 18 year old son, Rhudie Binta. Nomasonto Maduna, 44 years old Nokufa Portia Mofokeng, 31 years old Nomasonto Christinah Zulu, 57 years old Paulinah Mothoduwa Moloi, 37 years old Lerato Julie Moloi, 34 years old were all workers on the farm. Two armed attackers named Kamohelo Motankisi and Tseko Lerato Selepe ambushed them inside the house, committed sexual assault against two of the women, and shot and stabbed the victims to death. Both suspects were arrested within 24 hours of the killings and were subsequently convicted in the Free State High Court, where Motankisi received seven life sentences. The victims were brutally killed : Nontwasefani Smit was shot and stabbed to death inside the main homestead. Rhudie Binta, sustained severe injuries from multiple stab wounds. Nomasonto Maduna, died from multiple gunshot and stab wounds. Nokufa Portia Mofokeng, suffered fatal gunshots and stab wounds. Nomasonto Christinah Zulu, multiple inflicted stab and bullet wounds. Paulinah Mothoduwa Moloi, was shot and stabbed to death by the attackers. Lerato Julie Moloi, died from fatal gunshot and multiple stab wounds.
