Smuts Charl George

Twenty-five-year-old Charl George Smuts, who was also known as Charles Smith and worked as an IT specialist originally from Lone Hill, was staying at the property. At approximately 03:00 AM, a group of three armed attackers descended upon his homestead. The attackers gained entry into the residence by violently tearing down the front door of the farmhouse. They proceeded directly into the bedroom where Charl George Smuts was asleep in his bed. Without warning, the intruders opened fire on him while he lay resting, killing him instantly with a fatal gunshot wound. The criminals fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
