Van Zyl Hannetjie

Arriving at their farm gate around 19:00 on 5 October 2026, Hannetjie got out to open the gate when she was assaulted and beaten (Possbily stabbed). The perpetrators only stole her handbag and fled. Her husband Sarel, found her and requested help from the farm owner and rushed her to a hospital in Klerksdorp, but she was pronounced dead shortly after. There is usually a guard at the gate of the farm, but that afternoon, there was no guard. Hannetjie and Sarel was attacked on the farm in 2020, but the three men were released on a warning after less than two weeks.
